Today we visited Lijiang (Dayan), a majority etnia Naxi (matriarchal community). To be able to access the old city you have to pay some tickets, in the hostel some girls left us 3 of other visitors and we promised to return them when we left, we bought the rest. You have to show them at each of the entrances or exits.

Traditional dances in Lijiang
The old town is beautiful, paved, it is a maze of canals and bridges, without road traffic and style houses. The only drawback is that it has become an open-air shopping centre and the number of tourists is increasing even though prices are not exactly cheap.

You can buy everything from typical desserts to very expensive teas, handmade items and even masters of writing (one of them wrote our names in traditional Chinese script). Depending on the sound the master uses one character or another.

There are several interesting squares and buildings like Mu Mansion, in each of which people are dancing.

Black Dragon Pond Park Lijiang
Let's walk to the Jade Spring Park, where there is the Moon Pavilion and the Black Dragon Pond, behind which rises the Snowy Jade Dragon Mountain. A quiet place with breathtaking views.
