It is our last day in San José. We have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and take a dip in the pool. We meet a Chilean couple who have taken six months to travel around the continent.

Today we will visit the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, which we have heard wonderful things about.

Today we visit the Cahuita National Park. This protected natural area stands out for its close relationship with the community with local guides and park rangers.

We got up at 5.30 a.m. and despite being very close to the beach we didn't get there in time to see any turtles, no wonder it was so hot for so early in the morning.
