We have breakfast, buy some croissants, fruit, sandwiches and drinks for the boat and go to the pier. This time we only wait two hours for the boat to leave.

Mekong River
The landscape is amazing, we come across more boats, some bigger than our slow boat. We are approaching Luang Prabang and the cliffs become steeper, are of karst origin. We pass the Pak Ou Caves.

Finally we arrive at the pier of Luang Prabang, we want to stretch our legs. We take the backpacks and look for accommodation. Luang Prabang looks very good, we turn left from the pier, the walk from the pier to the river bank is beautiful. We ask in several and decide on the Soutikone 1 Guest House, it is beautiful dark wood. A bit expensive but we deserve it after the beating of the boat.

We take a walk and visit the Hmong night market, they have beautiful things and are expensive but we have to haggle. We have dinner by the river near the hostel.
Hmong night market
It's 10 pm and the night market is closed, in Laos there is still a curfew and at 11 pm you can't be on the street.
Suddenly a storm wakes us up, the lights go out. It must happen very often so it is not advisable to take the room with air conditioning.
