We get up early and go to the train station (KTM komuter), in the surroundings there are people lying on the ground, one of them has huge scabs on his legs.

We take a train to get to the Batu Caves, they are about 15 kilometers away, they leave every thirty minutes . The train is curious, there are wagons only for women, only for men or mixed.

The Batu Caves are an Indian shrine. It is better to visit it first thing in the morning when there are less people. The complex is quite big, they are natural caves.

In front of the main cave, the Temple Cave, there is a large golden statue dedicated to the goddess Durga. There are hundreds of stairs to climb up to the inside of the main cave.

There are macaques everywhere, so watch out! There is an altar inside, on the roof a huge hole makes the light shine in a special way. Totally recommendable.

We take the monorail to Raja Chulan, it is only 1.20 MYR the way, in the northern section of the Golden Triangle. This is the name of the skyline of Kuala Lumpur's financial and commercial center.

At sunset we go to the Petronas Towers, our Italian friends have recommended a bar with a view to see the sunset and the skyline at night. It is Monday and the Towers are closed to the public so we are satisfied with seeing them from outside. Prior to this we take a walk through the gardens and ponds near the Towers.
