Our trip is coming to an end and we have to return to San José.
Cahuita
From Cahuita there are several buses daily to San José, direct or with a stop in Limón. There are several timetables and it takes about 4 hours to reach the destination. You can check the schedules here.
We take the 9.30 a.m. bus, before we do some shopping and visit the beach for the last time. If you want to take coffee with you, the supermarket near the ATM has packets of 250 grams for 1.080 colones each. You can buy chocolate powder at the fruit shop for 7$/packet.
Cahuita bus station
The bus ride was a bit uncomfortable, the woman sitting next to me kept coughing and didn't wear a mask, I was afraid.
We arrive at the Atlántico Norte terminal in San José four hours later. We take a taxi to get to the hotel and we get a good price for a journey of just 5 minutes. Remember to use the uber app.
Vultures
We stayed at Hotel Ecological Inn. It is very well located next to the Sabana Park. It has a swimming pool and a games room with billiards. The rooms are very nice, breakfast is included and there is a car park.
We ate at La Parrilla de Pepe, patacón with cheese and meat, arepa of the house, lemonade and beer 11.000 colones. Delicious.
Patacón
It starts to rain. We meet Ana, one of the girls we shared our Drake adventure with, for a drink. She is a sweetheart. We have a great time with her.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a Mc to buy a couple of hamburgers for dinner.
