We are going to have breakfast by the river and meet again those of Avila, again farewell. We take the backpacks and meet those of Salamanca, again farewell.
Selling fruit
We wait at the door of the lodging to be picked up to go to Vang Vieng and it takes quite a while, we start to get nervous and the Guest's wife reassures us. Finally they arrive an hour later and the Laotian rhythm is very slow.
We go in a van, it's full and very uncomfortable. The road is terrible, it looks like a third regional port but the views are spectacular. There are many people living by the side of the road selling fruit and vegetables.
Road to Vang Vieng
We stop and eat a pineapple in a rest area. The service is not bad. We continue on potholes and more potholes, there are areas where the road has disappeared and it is a bad track. We see landslides. We can't be sure if the depressions have taken away the houses but it seems that way, the aspect of the villages is quite bad. We stop again.
Road to Vang Vieng
Market
Finally we arrive at Vang Vieng five hours later and all of us who are in the van get into a jumbo jet and pay 20,000 LAK each so the driver left us where he wanted and we had to walk to our accommodation.
Vang Vieng
Nam Song river
It starts raining and we arrive at the Organic Garden. The accommodation is very good, bungalow with air conditioning, TV and bathroom. A little shower and we go to take a beer, there are a lot of accommodations where you can see the series Friends with a beer, the atmosphere is very good. We have dinner and on the way to the hostel we go again, in the end this is what you have to do in the rainy season.
