We woke up without an alarm clock... what a nice bit of relaxation.

Canoee

Wooden canoe

Our accommodation could not be better, it is run by a very nice family, when we get up the little ones go to school.

We have breakfast at the Scuba. We decide to go snorkelling on the coral reef barrier. The sea is a bit rough but the idea of enjoying the sea is very tempting. We get into a wooden canoe with a sail. It's a cool one, we reach the reef thanks to the air currents. The protected area of the barrier is like a lagoon (in the middle of the sea). It is a beautiful place and you can see starfish, sea urchins, goldfish and a lot of corals. The quality of the water is quite good.

Back to the beach we eat at the Scuba two pizzas and a chicken skewer (in our favorite restaurant). The owner confirms us again what we feared, that the fishermen do not see clearly to go out to see whales. What a disappointment.

Spiny desert

Baobabs in thorny desert

In the afternoon we take a ride in a zebu-drawn cart to visit an area near the village of thorny desert with baobabs of different shapes and sizes. We are accompanied by Carlos, a friend Olga has made on the beach while we were snorkeling. It's a lot of fun to ride in a cart, they put some cushions on us for comfort. Joaquín dares to drive it. The baobab forest is worth it.

Before dinner we had some beers at Chez Carol.
