Today we will visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, said to be the inspiration for Walt Disney, built by Ludwig II of Bavaria, known as the Mad King in the 19th century.

We go by train, it is the cheapest way, we leave from HBF, it takes almost two hours.

The scenery is beautiful. We arrive to Füssen, the image seems like a snowy tale and a kind of fog surrounding the domes of the castle. We had a hot coffee. It's terribly cold.

To get to the castle you can do it on foot (like us) or in a horse-drawn carriage. The building, the surroundings, make the place magical.

We take a walk around the surroundings, there is a bridge with a magnificent view of the castle, Marienbrücke. There are paths everywhere, we go down to the Alpsee lake. It's really worth the trip down here.

Nearby you can visit the Hohenschwangau Castle and the High Castle of Füssen, which is Gothic in style. The latter is beautiful.

We return to Munich. We're meeting Yoli at the Central Station. We take the subway and visit the Allianz Arena where Bayern Munich plays. There's a match and the atmosphere is incredible.
