Ama Dablam

Distance: 20 kms
Duration: 9 hours
Linear route
Elevation gain: 1,400 metres
Map
We had cinnamon French toast and a honey apple pancacke for breakfast at 7am, which was brutal.
French toasts
We met the newly married couple and fortunately they are feeling better. We also met the Mexican family we had met at the airport.
At 7.45 we start our way back to Namche. We pass several herds of yaks. We are very sad that today will be the last day we see the Ama Dablam.
Views
The day is pleasant, sunny and not too windy. Before Shomare we meet up with Miguel, who is now fully recovered.
Yaks
We continue our journey, it is getting warmer and warmer and we are wearing winter clothes. We cross Pangboche and start our descent towards the suspension bridge.
Return to Namche
At the suspension bridge over the Imcha River, the five of us meet and take a photo.
The 5
We continue through the rhododendron forest until we reach Tengboche where we make a technical stop. From here it is a long and steep descent to Phungi Thenga where we have lunch.
Valley
We eat at White Tara Lunch, again dal bhat, but this time I repeat lentils, the first time in the whole trek!
From Phungi Thenga we start a slow climb up to the village of Sanasa where the road starts to get steeper. The fog is lifting and it is beginning to sparkle.
Tengboche
At 3.30 pm we arrive in Namche tired. But the day had another surprise for us, the accommodation where we stayed the previous time in Namche was full and Sonam booked us a room in The Bodhi Hotel, a beautiful hotel where we met Sergio and Maria, with shower and hairdryer! The only downside is that Chiiring can't sleep in our accommodation and that's a rule I don't like at all.
Porter
Our room is very nice, comfortable and comfortable, with a shared bathroom.
After showering we go down to the dining room with Sergio and María and Miguel who, despite the fact that it is raining cats and dogs, has come to our hotel (I hadn't washed my hair for 11 days for fear of catching a cold).
We had dinner together and enjoyed their company. They are great.
Sonam has a small detail with Chiiring asking us to value his work with affection, Chiiring has to support his family in Katamandu and he only works 5 months a year, there is no possibility of work in the area after the trekking months. Life in this country is very hard.
