We left Burgos in a minivan that we left in a parking lot near Madrid Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport.

Our flight leaves early without stopovers, taking almost two hours and a half.

It's spectacular weather. We walk to the hostel and leave the backpacks. It's a beautiful building in contemporary style, all in wood and concrete.

Basel is a beautiful Swiss city that belongs to the German canton, located on the banks of the Rhine River.

First stop St. Alban Kirche, beautiful gothic church of reddish stone. Its decorated roof is worth a visit.

We walk to Münsterplatz where you can find the Basler Münster Cathedral, also of red stone, which contains the tomb of Erasmus of Rotterdam.

We took a detour to Spalentor, the most important gateway to the medieval city, to get to the University Hospital. Joaquin was born there and we were very excited to meet him.

We rest for a while in the gardens and return to Markplatz to see the Town Hall. It is a very striking building, red and gold, is one of the most representative of the city. Its inner courtyard is impressive. It is a must on your visit to Basel.
