Today we will once again visit the Teide National Park to see the main viewpoints of the Teide peak on our way to Puerto de Santiago to visit the cliffs of Los Gigantes.

How to get there
The main viewpoints to the Teide peak are located inside the National Park, but from practically any point on the island, if the day is clear, you can enjoy these incredible views. Those inside the park are located on the TF21 and TF38 roads.
Among the Park's viewpoints are the following:
1. Portillo viewpoint
2. Roques de García viewpoint
3. Llano de Ucanca viewpoint
4. Narices del Teide viewpoint, incredible views of the Teide and the volcano pico Viejo.

Outside the Park we highlight these viewpoints:
1. Viewpoint of the Punta de Hidalgo lighthouse. Located in the north of the island, on the coast. Very close by are the natural pools of Jóver, where it is worth taking a dip.

2. Mirador de la Jardina, located in the rural park of Anaga.

Gigantes cliffs
One of the most popular activities in Tenerife is whale watching, and there is no better place to do this than near the town of Puerto de Santiago where the cliffs of Los Gigantes are located.
Cliffs from Puerto de Santiago
These rock formations of volcanic origin occupy a large part of the coastline between Puerto de Santiago and the Punta de Teno lighthouse.
How to get there
Puerto de Santiago is situated on the west coast of the island on the TF454 road from Tamaimo.
Parking is not easy and there is quite a lot of blue zone parking, but there is a paid car park in the harbour.
Gigantes cliffs
We contracted the sighting with the company Flipper Uno. They offer a wide range of activities, from kayaking to sailing, to suit all tastes. We were more interested in seeing cetaceans and not spending all day on a boat with the music blaring, so we booked the speedboat for 25€/pax.
We left on time and headed out to sea to see several pods of pilot whales. We were not lucky enough to see dolphins or sharks so an hour later we were taken to the bay of Masca beach for a swim.

The water is clean and crystal clear despite the depth, we advise you to wear snorkelling goggles.
We returned along the coastline enjoying the spectacular cliffs.
After the activity, we spent some time resting on the beach of Los Guíos, next to the port. Volcanic sand on a small beach next to the cliffs.

Where to eat
In Puerto de Santiago there are plenty of places to eat but we went to the Tenerife town of Santiago del Teide to eat at the restaurant of the same name.
We had a spectacular meal, potatoes with mojo, stewed kid and roast sweet potato with cod, everything was great and cheap 33.50 €/2 pax.
