Thailand day 15: Ko Pha Ngan.

Early today we want to visit the part of Ko Pha Ngan that is practically inaccessible by land and we have rented a boat for the four of us.

We are picked up in a pick up and go to the port of Ban Chalok Lam. Here our captain, his assistant and the boat are waiting for us. It's a medium sized wooden boat.

Today the sea is more agitated and although we are allowed to go down to snorkel on a reef the water quality is not as good as yesterday, we see jellyfish and a giant squid.

The beaches are spectacular, especially Bottle Beach (Hat Khuat).

We eat on the boat rice, chicken curry with a spice of gherkin strips and fruit, watermelon and pineapple spectacular.

In Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi we stop again and do some kayaking. We go down to see some waterfalls near the coast, the Than Prawet ones, but they are not worth it, there is practically no water at all. Unfortunately for me, I drop my camera in a small puddle... Murphy's Law.

A spectacular day.

On the way back to the port we bought a street pancake, which was delicious.

We stopped at 7-11 for a few beers and a swim back in the pool.

Like every night a little internet to say hello to family and friends.

We had dinner at the resort. It's our last night in this paradise.

 

 

Accommodation: West Coast Beach Resort 500 THB bungalow two pax with air-conditioning on the beachfront, has a pool.
Boat trip around the island: 20 euros per pax.
