We get up early to catch the first public boat to Lombok. At 9 o'clock it fills up and we leave towards Bangsal.
Boat to Lombok
Bangsal is a small port from which we move south of the island to Kuta. After negotiating hard with the taxi drivers we get a good price. We have about an hour and a half, and Hassan stops at the main viewpoints. The coast is beautiful.
Lombok coast
Lombok is a mountainous island with steep roads and idyllic beaches.
We arrive in Kuta, not without getting a few scares with Hassan, it's Ramadan and during the night the Muslims are active and can eat because during the day they should sleep, in the case of our taxi driver the sleep was his and we had to entertain him all the way. Nevertheless he behaved well, we made him a little dizzy looking for accommodation.
Finally we stayed at Yuli's Homestay, it is very nice and has a swimming pool, but the bathrooms are cold. We say goodbye to Hassan and go to visit Kuta.
We eat in a warung on the way to the beach, when we sit down a lot of children come to sell us their bracelets.

Fishermen repairing his nets
Kuta is a small village with a huge crescent beach. We take a walk, see the fishermen with their boats, and arrive at one of the ends where there is a cove and a lot of monkeys. We have a few beers and take another walk. Kuta is a bit dirty, it has a certain air of neglect, the area where the fishermen live is in very bad condition.

Children and monkeys
In the evening we go to the junction for dinner, it's already dark and Kuta comes to life. But not even a street lamp. Some locals are at the mosque, others with their bikes in full swing...
