We got up early and had breakfast at the hotel. At 8 o'clock our taxi brousse arrives and Jesse comes to say goodbye.

Ranohira

Ranohira

It takes us 5 hours to get there. We stop and eat rice and zebu for 8,000 Ar 3 pax.

Our accommodation is Chez Alice, we stay in a bungalow without hot water but with a breathtaking view of the Isalo National Park. It is so hot that it is the least of our worries. We eat while waiting for Bosco, the guide recommended by Jesse, to visit the Isalo park tomorrow. He comes with the ticket checker for the brousse taxi and we reserve seats for two days later to Tulear.

We are going to take a walk through the village, it is very small with only 6,000 inhabitants. We buy food and water to go to the park. We try the roasted manioc in a stall in the street, it is very good and looks like baked potato. We played table football with some children, which was a lot of fun.

We had a beer at the corner bar for 3000 Ar and some fried peanuts for 600 Ar after watching the sunset. We arrived at the bungalow and prepared the things, washed and hit with a giant spider, with his daughter later and with galactic cockroaches. To have a beer to get rid of our fear.
