We get up at 6 a.m. as our bus leaves at 7:45 a.m. for Philadelphia. We have also taken it with Megabus and it takes about 3 hours. We pick it up at Union Station and it drops us off in Philadelphia at 30th St Station.

We leave the backpacks at Apple Hostel, it's very nice and clean, very well located in the Old City.
We have lunch and visit Betsy Ross' House where this woman embroidered the first American flag.

Then we went to the Benjamin Franklyn Museum, an interactive museum with dozens of inventions of this famous American. We continue to the Post Office, a very beautiful building. In this area all the buildings are made of bricks from the 18th century, a legacy of the colonial era.

We approach the Independence National Histoy Park and visit Liberty Bell Center, the bell of freedom one of the most prominent symbols of American independence. A must see.

We also visited the National Constitution Center and Independence Hall. As it was Constitution Day, the National Constitution Center was free. It is an interactive museum about the Constitution, you could even take a fictitious vote. The room of the Fathers of the Constitution was closed for works.

We eat at Jim's Steaks, the famous cheese steaks for $8.60 plus tax (in Philadelphia 8%), delicious, chopped steaks, onions and cheese.

We go to the Museo of the American Revolution, the nearby streets are very cool. We stop at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens for pure urban art. Isaiah Zagar is the author. It's a must.

We pass by the City Hall, the tallest masonry building in which no steel has been used. We take the typical photo in I LOVE PHILADELPHIA.

We walk for a while until we reach the Philadelphia Museum of Art and climb the very famous stairs that Silvester Stalone climbs in the film Rocky. Photo with the obvious Rocky statue.

The museum from 5 pm on Wednesdays is gatis. There were board games distributed in different rooms and a private party. It has works by Diego Rivera. A reproduction of a Japanese garden, another room with a complete altarpiece of French Gothic. It's worth it.

At night we bought in a 7-Eleven the dinner and breakfast, more expensive than other supermarkets.
