We take the subway and go to Coney Island, 1 hour by subway to and from Williamsburg. Decadent but very attractive. Not a tree. Here you can enjoy the American beaches, with their typical docks and lifeguard towers.

Here is the famous Cyclone roller coaster, in one of the oldest amusement parks in the USA, the Luna Park. We walk along the pier, it's full of people fishing. A guy with a giant 80's radio with the music blaring, just like in the movies. We eat a puppy at the famous Nathan's Famous, they say the hot dog was invented at Coney Island, it had to be tried.

We go back to Brooklyn, we go to the Williamsburg Smorgasburg Market, it's an open-air food market, we eat delicious dry ramen and some spectacular doughnuts from a fairly artisan factory, all overlooking Manhattan. To top it off, organic coffee from a chain of cafes with a very industrial style. We visit the Flea Market, located in a building with dozens of stands, from sunglasses to clothing to decorated clothes pegs. Totally recommended.

We had a few beers in a bar where a redheaded transformer sang and danced. Then we went to the Thrush Bar, decorated with Christmas lights, the bathrooms are unisex, the cups are painted as dirty, what a joint. We ended the night in a Brazilian restaurant that, when the dinners are over, transforms into a pub, Latin dances and caipirinhas. Good atmosphere and lots of partying. Around 3 a.m. we went home without being thirsty.
