We leave our backpacks and return to Union Square. We spend part of the day shopping.

We go back to the supermarket and pick up the laundry. Today we visit the Upper East Side, it is a neighborhood of wealthy people, just look at the large mansions and brand name boutiques like Vera Wang or Prada. Lonely Planet offers a very interesting tour of movie locations in Manhattan.

First of all, let's go to the supermarket and restock the fridge.

Our first High Line stop, at the beginning of the century Meatpacking District and Chelsea were the largest industrial area in Manhattan, so elevated tracks were built to transport goods that were later converted into this wonderful green area.

New York day 5: Union Square, Flatiron District, Gramercy and Chinatown.
